My favorite time of the year is right around the corner. When you're panicking about unfinished cosplay projects and having to stand in line for pre-reg in nintey degree weather.. *sigh* Good times ^___^ I'm especially excited since
Yoko Kanno has been announced for this year's Otakon!! I can't wait to update my favorite Macross cosplay for the special occassion, and it helps me feel better about possibly not being able to finish my newest costume in time ^^; But it's all good, I have a lot planned for this year and I haven't felt this optimistic in a long while! Hopefully even Sheep Man will be getting some love again hehe.
With summer comes more cons, and with more cons comes more pony gatherings!! This has me in the mood for moar ponies, but sadly the newest season won't be out for a long while. In the meantime I finally managed to finish my Princess Celestia drawing instead. It came out pretty epic imo.. Huge and majestic! It was worth the effort, coloring dat hair almost made me throw in the towel. But I like how it came out altogether. I hope you all do too :3
I've also re-discovered my obsession with Animal Crossing again, thanks to New Leaf FINALLY being released for the 3DS shortly! Once it's released I will share my friend code, I will absolutely need neighbors lol. I will more than likely be making some AC related fanart too!
Until next update folks and best of luck on your adventures~
Heya everypony! Do I have an update for you! Last month I attended my very first My Little Pony convention, and I have to say I haven't had so much fun at a small con in many years. I definitely want to go back, and to more pony cons! And I'd definitely like to stay for a whole weekend too, one day wasn't enough to take in all the awesomeness XD Here's a link to my gallery for more pics!

I loved the artwork, I loved the cosplay, I loved the panels, and I LOVED the merchant's room! I also loved the panels, which is really saying something since I tend to skip panels for the most part. But I did a lot of laughing and sharing that day, and caring! And I couldn't find a single flaw, perfect pony con was perfect ^3^
I've been working on a new Princess Celestia drawing as well. I have an example of her outline on the right. I'm just about done with coloring her, but at this point I'm kinda unhappy with the blending of her mane and tail. I think it might be some time still until she's 100% done ^^; But she's a fun challenge that I'm sure will be worth the wait.
And finally I've been featured as a Spotlight Cosplayer for
Spin Dash Productions! I'm very honored and excited to be featured on the site and I'm excited to share an interview and more pictures later on in the week. Please follow SpinDashReview on twitter for continued updates!
With spring now in full swing I'm now in the process of getting ready for my summer conventions. I'll be working on Magician Ranka again and Fluttershy of course, but I also plan on debuting something totally brand new. Blue Scout from TF2!! I thought a lot about it, and also considered other options, but I really wanted to do something super fun and different for my 15th Otakon. I'll also be with a pretty epic Mega Man group as Sheep Man! I'm getting more and more excited hahaha.
Also, I recently made a tumblr account! Follow me
here at starstorm0m394 for constant updates. (I'm seriously on tumblr every morning hahaha.)
Thanks so much as always for taking the time to check out my blog. Hope you're all able to enjoy the season and all your cosplay projects come together well :)
Ja Ne!

Another year, another Katsu! I'm starting to lose count personally hahaha. But as always, Katsucon remains one of the absolute best cons for cosplaying on the east coast. Everywhere you looked you saw an amazingly detailed and gorgeous costume. Everyone is so talented! And I felt really honored to be in the pressence of so many talented cosplayers ^///^
What stuck out for me the most this year however, was the My Little Pony photo shoot that took place early Saturday afternoon. I haven't had so much fun in cosplay in
years, and I really mean it. Seriously, the cosplay group of the MLP:FiM fandom really makes it for me. Everypony was just so much fun to pose/play with, and even her majesty, Queen Celestia, was kinda enough to carry me over the group at point lmao.
The best part though was hanging out in our hotel room and still being a part of the fun. As you can see from my picture, we had a wonderful up-close view of the cherry blossom terrace. And after the shoot we were waved to and asked to come join the dance party happening below us . It was magic! I had a blast dancing with the rest of the amazing pony cosplayers, and they were even kind enough to sing me happy birthday! (Katsu always falls around my Bday so I try to throw a party every year lol.) That photo shoot/dance party will always be one of my all time favorite con memories. I've been going to cons nows for well over ten years, almost fifteen now, and never have I been moved to tears so much before. I was so incredibly happy to have made so many new friends, and I loved every second of it! So if you're reading this pony royalty, and all other pony folk I met at Katsu, thanks again from the bottom of my heart for making my birthday wishes come true, and for re-kindling my passion! <3! I love you all so much! ^3^
With that said, here's a gallery to ALL the photos I took over the weekend.
Starsugar Sweet's Cosplay Gallery (I have yet to add captions, I promise I'll finish that up soon lol.) I've also updated both my Fluttershy and Fionna galleries for now, but hopefully I'll find some pics of my Ranka cosplay too hahaha. But if you find yourself in my gallery please feel free to email me at Starsugarsweets@gmail.com, and I will send you the original photo asap!
Hope you had a wonderful time at Katsu this year as well, and please enjoy my new pics! Ja ne minna! Until next time!
